Bryon Lawrence “Big B” Anderson, 54, Overland Park, Kansas

Bryon Lawrence Anderson, 54, born March 22, 1962, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2016 at his home in Kansas City, Kansas.

Bryon was the second of Larry and Toni Anderson’s six children. He was born in Chanute, Kansas and graduated from Humboldt High School. Like his father before him, Bryon found his niche in the culinary arts. He assisted at the family restaurant, Porky’s Place, as well as other Chanute area eateries. When the family moved to Kansas City Bryon truly hit his stride. As a manager at Boston Market he was instrumental in creating a successful catering program. His store remained amongst the top Boston Market catering operations for many years. It was in Kansas City Bryon met and later married Donna Schrantz on October 22, 2006 in Overland Park, Kansas. A lifelong Denver Broncos fan, Bryon would rarely be seen without Bronco’s paraphernalia, particularly a baseball cap.

His father, Lawrence Edward Anderson, precedes Bryon in death. Bryon is survived by his loving companion Donna Schrantz of Dunkirk, New York; mother Ann Toni, Grand Prairie, Texas; and siblings Brandon LaMonte (Cynthia), Grand Prairie, Texas; Brett Lavelle, Humboldt, Kansas; Bryce Landon (Michelle), Gladstone, Missouri; Blaine Lamar, Kansas City, Kansas; and Nickia Michelle, Overland Park, Kansas.

A public viewing will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 2nd at First Baptist Church, 118 N. Forest St., Chanute, Kansas 66720, Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM with Minister D.J. Dangerfield officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1282 Hawaii Road, Humboldt, KS 66748.

The family of Ann Toni Anderson wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Tim Falkner, First Baptist Church, Chanute, Kansas and Penwell-Gabel Mortuary, Olathe, Kansas.
