Renee Misner
1956 - 2016

Renee Terry Misner, of Overland Park, passed away on September 12, 2016, at Menorah Medical Center. She was born on July 26, 1956, to Eugene and Jesselyn (Courdin) Terry in Neosho, MO. She was raised in Wheaton, MO and graduated from Wheaton High School. After receiving her Bachelor's degree from Missouri State University, she moved to Overland Park, Kansas where she has resided since. Renee was a paralegal for much of her career. A gentle soul with a deeply caring nature, and a lively wit, Renee was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Renee met the love of her life, Paul, and they married in 2001. She was devoted to her loving husband and to her precious felines. Although she suffered medical problems for years, she maintained a cheerful outlook on life and strove never to put anyone else to trouble. She never lost her sense of humor.

Renee is survived by her loving husband, Paul; mother, Jesselyn of Springfield, MO; sister, Connie (John) Koetting of Overland Park; sister, Janet (Ken) Southard of Springfield, MO; brother, Randall (Brenda) Terry of Springfield, MO; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Terry, in 2012.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, September 18, 2016, between 1:00 and 2:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to either the JDRF (http://www.jdrf.org/) to support Diabetes Research or to The Rescue Project (http://therescueproject.net/) to support animal rescue.
