Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 4:00-5:30pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Leland was born March 31, 1922 in Lancaster, MO, and was a graduate of Lancaster High School. He served with the United Stated Marine Corps during WWII stationed in the South Pacific.
Leland was employed with John Deere and Company, retiring after 35 years of dedicated service to Deere.
Through the years, Lee enjoyed family time, golfing, fishing, and reading.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Anna, of Overland Park, KS, his children Julie DeLashmutt of Olathe, KS and Christopher Weaver of Mt. Pleasant, IA, and grandchildren Austin and Samantha DeLashmutt of Olathe, KS.
You left us beautiful memories and your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you're always by our side.
