Mark A. Kinkelaar, 58, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away on October 14, 2016 surrounded by his family. Mark was born August 17, 1958 in Dodge City, Kansas to Bernard and Rosanna Kinkelaar. Mark is survived by his wife, Kay, and his sons; Andy and Michael, mother, Rosanna Kinkelaar, siblings; Judy Schlotfeldt of Dodge City, Rod (Diana) Kinkelaar of Wichita, Donna (Norman) Dauer from Lindsborg, Ben Kinkelaar from Wichita, Mother-in-law, Arlene Laverty, Shawnee, Kansas, Sisters-in-law, Sharon Long, Destin, Florida, Leslie (Ken) Williams, Chesterfield, Missouri, and his wonderful nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Bernard, brother, Steve Kinkelaar, and brother-in-law, Robert Long.


He was a graduate of Dodge City High School, Dodge City Community College, Kansas State College of Engineering, Professional Engineer Civil, and University of Kansas School of Business, MBA program. Mark was PMO manager, Department of Technology and Innovation at Johnson County Government. Mark enjoyed family time, golfing, reading, meteorology, watching ESPN, and the golf channel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to;
The Neuroendocrine Educational and Training Fund at Massachusetts General Hospital

Visitation Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 6-8:00pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob, Olathe, KS, followed by funeral services on Wednesday, October 19, at 1:00pm, also at the funeral home.
