Earl Marion Stambaugh

Earl passed away October 17, 2016. He was born to Lottie and Roy Stambaugh on October 20, 1932, and a life-long Olathean.

He was proud to serve in the US Army, and worked in the Food Industry his entire life. He was best known for his long tenure with The Whopper Burger in Mission, Waid's Restaurant in Mission, and the Waid's Restaurant in Olathe, KS.
He so enjoyed the patrons and friends very much, especially at the Olathe location.

Earl was lovingly called "Unk" by his nieces and nephews. His pan-fried chicken is a favorite memory and he could be a very funny man.

Earl is survived by his nieces Ruth Ann (Mahaffie) Lewis, Connie (Mahaffie) Toynbee, Karen (Frazee) Diehm, and Stacey Stambaugh, his nephews Bryan Mahaffie, Rodney Stambaugh, and Rex Stambaugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents., Roy and Lottie Stambaugh, sisters June Mahaffie and Doris Frazee, brother Warren Stambaugh, and nephew, Paul W. Mahaffie.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 10:00am - 11:15am at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, KS, with Graveside Service at 11:30am at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, KS.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Olathe Medical Center.
