Jacqueline “Jackie” Melchior was born February 17, 1970 in Butler, Missouri to Donald and Rosemary Teeman. Jackie attended Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary during grade school playing volleyball, basketball and softball. She then went to O’Hara High School where she played basketball, volleyball and ran cross country. She worked for Hallmark Cards for fourteen years and then worked at a law firm for several years, most recently she worked for Kansas City Tree Care.

Jackie, her brother Brian, Don and Rosemary, and other family members spent most of their summers when she was growing up at the Lake of the Ozarks, where Jackie loved fishing, swimming, water skiing, boating and being in the sun.

In 1998, she married Douglas Melchior – the love of her life. In 2000 their first child was born, Carter Jacob and in 2005, their second son was born, Carson James. She enjoyed watching her boys play basketball, football, baseball and golf along with her husband, parents, mother-in-law and other family and friends. This was her passion. Jackie was a dedicated mother who loved spending time with her boys. Doug was the sunshine of her life, and they built a beautiful life and home for their sons.

Jackie loved to get up early, go to the gym or run the streets of Olathe, training for many 5K and 10K races and marathons including three Boston Marathons. She was an elite athlete who loved the thrill of competition. In recent years, she had dedicated her training to weightlifting and competing in Figure Competitions.

She was proceeded in death by her brother Brian in 1983, and her grandparents Laurine and Ralph Teeman. She is survived by her husband Doug Melchior and their two sons, Carter and Carson, parents Don and Rosemary Teeman, grandparents Ralph and Aurora Perez, mother-in-law Carolyn Melchior, and sister and brother-in-law Debra and Steve Neal, plus many other extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jackie Melchior Memorial Fund c/o Enterprise Bank, 11970 South Blackbob Road, Olathe, Kansas 66062 to help extend the Catholic education of her sons.
