She was born on November 29, 1950 to Ritchie and Opal (Slusher) Brown in Kansas City, MO.
Nancy enjoyed working at Wal-Mart for over 16 years, and was an avid crafter, selling her creations at local events and stores, including Old Settlers every year. She also spent many years working alongside her husband at their own business, Spruytte's 66 Service.
On March 6, 1971, she married Alphonse "Jr." Spruytte. Nancy and Jr. lived in Spring Hill, Kansas.
She was a Past-President of the Old Settlers Association, and loved helping prepare the meals for the Wal-mart employees.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Alphonse "Jr." Spruytte, son, Phillip (Marcia) Wayne Spruytte, daughter Christy Elizabeth Childers, son Scott Alan Spruytte, mother Opal Brown, brothers Jim (Shirley) Brown, and John Brown, grand-children Brett ( Brittany) Spruytte, Ray Childers, Victoria Spruytte, Austin Childers, Ryan (Amanda) Jones, Joshua Jones, Jessica Collins, and Tory Collins Daniel, five great-grandchildren, and her sisters-in-law, Karen (Bob) Schmidt and Cynthia Riepe.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ritchie Raymond Brown.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28 from 6:00-8:00pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29 at 10:00am, also at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hospice House of Olathe Medical Center.
