In Memory Of
Leonard "Ted" Brannin
1932 - 2017
Sports were an important part of Ted’s life, and he was an avid golfer, bowler, tennis player and skier. The family enjoyed many ski vacations to Colorado. His true passions were Kansas State University and the Greater Kansas City Organ Club. He had season tickets to football games for many years, rarely missed a KC Catbackers meeting, and maintained lifelong friendships with his brothers in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He began taking lessons on the Lowery organ in his golden years, making friends, taking field trips, arranging concerts and serving as the music club president. Neighbors and business acquaintances were often heard saying “Ted is such a great guy and would do anything for you.”
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Harris, and his sister Patricia.
He is survived by his brother Jerry, of Scottsdale, AZ; son Craig (Robin) Brannin of Overland Park, KS; son Jon Brannin of Texas; daughter Julie Shock of Arkansas; daughter Kelly (Phillip) Pagels of Arizona; son Scott (Meagan) Brannin of Texas, and six grandchildren. We look forward to the day we join you again in heaven, Dad.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ahern Fund at Kansas State University.
