Ozie Lee Sims, Jr., 63, of Olathe, KS, passed away on March 1, 2017 at Olathe Medical Center.

He was born on September 8, 1953 in Kansas City, KS to Ozie, Sr. and Dorothy Sims.
Ozie worked as a computer analyst for Waddell and Reed, and on October 18, 2004, he married Naoko Fukuzawa, and they made their home in Olathe, KS.

He was also a member of Grace Church in Overland Park, KS.

Ozie is survived by his loving wife, Naoko, his daughter Maya Allison, his mother Dorothy Sims and her husband Nathan Lewis, his sisters Rita Sims, Cebra Sims, Sue (Grady) Wayne, Phyllis Lading, Celise (Brad) Scott, Marquetta (Wendell) Berry, and Diane (Richard) Mahoney, his brothers David (Nanette) Sims, Michael (Susie) Sims, and Mark Sims.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ozie L. Sims, Sr., his sister Doris Jordan, and brother-in-law Greg Lading.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 10:00am at Grace Church, 159th and Antioch, Overland Park, KS. The family will receive friends an hour prior service time.
Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery, Kanas City, KS.
