Glen was born November 7, 1921 in Hays, Kansas to Charles and Opal La Rue.
He served our country in the U.S. Army (Pacific Theatre) during World War II, and
was employed as a Civil Engineer for Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base for over 25 years.
He married Dorothy Rimmer on December 31, 1940 in Butler, Missouri and they raised their family in Sunflower (Clearview City) and Lawrence, Kansas.
Glen and Dorothy were avid square and round dancers, and they enjoyed camping with their family.
He is survived by his sons, Glen La Rue, Jr. (Martha), Edward La Rue (Georgia), and Kenny La Rue (Betty), his daughter Margaret La Rue, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy in 2008, and his brother, Wilbur La Rue.
