Audrey Smith has been a long-time resident of Olathe, Kansas since 1967. Always finding friends wherever she went, Audrey attended College Church of the Nazarene and Berean Church while working in many different stores in the area until her retirement at Walgreens. She loved Olathe and the wonderful people she met there but she was and will always be an Ozark girl from Lurton, Arkansas, with many loving memories of growing up with her eight siblings in the beautiful Ozark Mountains..
Audrey spread sunshine wherever she went by her warm infectious smile and her genuine caring of others. Being out with Audrey was like being out with a local celebrity; she could not go anywhere without being stopped by friendly faces, who spoke about how she always brightened their day with her smile and warm conversation.
All of us can imagine Audrey smiling and chatting with angels strolling the streets of heaven with her parents Vernon and Velma Rosamond. Today, we feel the grey skies as we mourn for the loss of our mother; grandmother; sister and friend. You are missed and will always be in our hearts!
Audrey leaves behind her children James & Joyce Smith, Sylvia Smith & Andrew Burton, Larry & Gita Smith, Sharon Smith, David & Sue Smith and Laura & Matthew Caudill; her grandchildren Steven Smith, Scott Smith, Jennifer Visalli, Melissa Jesberg, Cathleen Burton, Rhea Muchalla LeGrande, Jesse Sasha Smith, Haven Minnick, Lydia Wieberg, and Ellen Wieberg; and her amazing great-grandchildren, the future is yours! Her siblings Dale Rosamond, Don Rosamond, Barbara Barnard, Vernon Rosamond, Hazel Caddell, Johnny Rosamond, Wanda Brown, and Jim Rosamond.
With special thanks and immense gratitude to the caring staff at Good Samaritan Center and Good Shepard Hospice. We are blessed that Audrey had your support and companionship.
