Evan Cantrell, 21 of Olathe passed away on July 22, 2017. He was born on December 7, 1995 to Edward and Elizabeth (Diaz) Cantrell in Kansas City, Missouri.

Evan grew up in Olathe and graduated from Olathe South High School in 2014. He later attended Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, Missouri where he earned his Associates Degree in Automotive Technology. Evan worked as an Automotive Technician in Overland Park, Kansas.

Evan was an avid car lover and belonged to several car clubs. He also enjoyed listening to music. Evan made friends from all walks of life and of all ages. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and put others before himself. Evan will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Evan is survived by his loving parents, Edward and Elizabeth Cantrell and his loving sister, Erin Cantrell, his grandfather, Dale Cantrell, his uncle, William Cantrell, his aunt, Ellen Richards, his cousins, Brett (Natalie) Cantrell, Ryan Cantrell, Riley Richards, and Al Richards, great aunts and uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Abuelo Medardo and Abuela Mary Diaz, and his paternal grandmother, Wanda Cantrell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Compassion Fund, please make checks payable to the "Compassion Fund" and forward to Heartland Community Church, 12175 S. Strangline Road, Olathe, Kansas 66062.
