A Celebration of his life will be 1:00PM Saturday Sept. 30th at the Tumbleweed in Gardner.

John H. Freund, Gardner, KS passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017.

JH, as he was well known, was a lifelong resident of Gardner, born to Clyde and Lucille Freund on March 3, 1953. He married Cyndi Clary in 1973. They had 2 children, Clint and Kari.

He worked for many years for Gardner Tractor before going to Johnson County Public Works, where he was a mechanic and heavy equipment operator until he retired in 2011. He loved to spend time with his family, restore tractors and ride his motorcycle with the ROMEO's motorcycle club.

He was preceded in death by his sister Brenda Hoffman, brother Butch Freund, and his parents Clyde and Lucille Freund.

He is survived by his wife Cyndi at home, his son, Clint and daughter-in-law Jessica and grandson Austin, daughter Kari, grandsons Maddox and Vaughn, brother Charles Freund and wife Cathy, sisters Phyllis Crabb, Karen Clark and husband Jim, Judy Lenahan and husband Phil, and sister-in-law Sharon Freund, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins, and his beloved dog, Bella.

John was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He brightened any place he walked into with his contagious smile and laughter...and orneriness. He will be missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:
