She leaves behind two daughters, Paula Hatem, of Wilton, CT and Nancy Carolan (Patrick) of Overland Park, KS. She was predeceased by her sisters Stanis Baranowski, Esther Anisewski, Josephine Nadeau and her brother Francis Nietupski. Her pride and joy were her five grandchildren, Danielle Havrilesko (Ben), of Lexington, KY, Alex Carolan (Kirsten) of Olathe, KS and Sean, Tyler and Samantha Carolan, all of Overland Park. She was blessed this year with two great grandchildren, Jack Havrilesko (8 mos) and Ryan Carolan (3 mos).
Ann worked for many years at the IRS in RI, in the Orangeburg, NY school system and at Rosemount Engineering in Eden Prairie, MN. She and Roland have lived in Coventry, RI, Waterford, CT, Poughkeepsie and Tappan, NY and Eden Prairie, MN. In retirement they settled in West Greenwich, RI for 25 years. On Oct. 9, 2016 they moved to Kansas.
In Ann’s retirement, she spent her time volunteering on the West Greenwich Library Board, never turning down a sewing project and entertaining friends and family with her love of cooking and baking. She & Roland were faithful parishioners for 25 years at St. John & Paul Catholic Church in Coventry, RI. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many years-long friends.
There will be a memorial service for family only in Lenexa, KS at the Silvercrest Assisted Living Facility and a Celebration of her Life at Iannotti’s Funeral Home in Coventry, RI on Sunday, Dec. 17th with a visitation from 12:00 -1:00 p.m. and a short service at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the West Greenwich Library or at her long-time church, St. John & Paul Catholic Church in Coventry, RI.
