Doyle Andrew Peek passed away on December 10, 2017, at Delmar Gardens Hospital in Lenexa, KS., going from several years of illness to finally look into the eyes of Unconditional Love—the eyes of Jesus. Doyle was born on August 10, 1930, in Cedartown, Georgia, to James Robert and Ola Victoria Peek. He graduated from Cedartown High School, attended the University of Georgia and Georgia Military College. Doyle served 5 years in the U.S. Navy in Naval Aviation.
Doyle moved to Jonesboro, AR in 1961 and was a sales rep for Alton Box Board Co., which eventually became Smurfit-Stone Corrugated Container Corp. from which he retired in 1996.
Doyle and his wife Anita were married on July 11, 1964, and lived in Jonesboro until their move to Lenexa, KS in 2013. They were members of Community Fellowship Church. Doyle was a faithful Red Wolves fan, a Georgia Bulldogs fan and overall sports enthusiast. He spent a lot of hours enjoying playing golf with his buddies.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Anita, his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Ross Pritchard, his granddaughter, Jennifer Dodson, his grandson Matthew (Savannah) Pritchard, three great-grandchildren, Liam Gregg Dodson, Quinn Morgan Pritchard and Owen Grey Pritchard, all of Kansas City.
