Betty Ann Paul of Olathe, Kansas, passed on December 22, 2017.

Betty held a BS in Education received in 1974 from Emporia State University. She had a career as a professional school librarian for Liberal and Olathe Public Schools for 33 years.

Betty’s hobbies included handwork, doll collecting and making, tatting, crochet, knitting, dressmaking, hand and machine embroidery, reading, travel and visiting national parks. Betty loved her Italian Greyhounds and all of the wild animals in her life. She was an active supporter of the local SPCA. Memberships include American Library Association, Kansas Association, American Sewing Guild as well as other professional organizations.

Betty is survived by husband Buddy L. Paul of 43 years, her sister Margaret Charlene Newlin, neice Cynthia Jo Newlin, nephew Mark A. Newlin and many former students and friends worldwide.

There are no services planned. Memorial contributions are suggested to either the Great Plains SPCA, 5424 Antioch Dr, Merriam, KS 66202 or to Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Rd, Kansas City, MO 64137.
