In Memory Of
Janelle K. Moore
1951 - 2018

Janelle was born on December 18, 1951 in Beloit, KS to Walter and Ardis Jones, where she attended a one room school house, Pleasant Plain elementary, and Glen Elder High School.  While attending Kansas State University, she met Richard Moore and they proceeded to get married at Glen Elder United Methodist Church in 1971.  Rick and Janelle traveled the world for the next several years, settled down to raise their 3 children in Derby, KS for 30 years, and upon retirement moved to Olathe, KS in 2014.

Janelle completed her undergraduate at Kansas Newman University in 1994 exemplifying to her three boys the importance of determination and hard work.  She then began teaching at Haysville Middle School for 14 years and then becoming an educational coach and literacy coach for current educators across the US.  She maintained her faith and instilled faith in her family while attending Woodlawn United Methodist Church in Derby, KS from 1986 until they transitioned to Grace United Methodist Church in 2014.

Janelle had many hobbies throughout her life; sewing, crafts, cooking, music, teaching and keeping up with three boys.  They say it takes 10,000 practice attempts to master a craft.  Janelle definitely mastered being a spectator and a supportive mother from the stands.  Whether it be baseball, basketball, choir concerts, cross country, football, soccer, track, wrestling, or hockey; She knew how to show up and support her family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Walter Jones, her father in-law, Richard W. Moore, and her niece Lara Langford.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard C. Moore, and their three sons and spouses Shawn and Kristin, Christopher and Christina, and Ryan and Emily; grandchildren Victoria, William, Finley, Emmett, Mackenzie, and Evan, her mother Ardis and her mother-in-law Millissia, and her siblings, Danny and Carolyn Jones, Rod and Michelle Jones, Janis and Russell Langford, Bryan and Sherry Jones, Julie and Fred Ohse, John and Rachelle Jones, Missy and Joe DiPeri, and Kathleen and Jay Tower.
