Bill G. McBee, 92, of Stilwell, passed away at home on February 13, 2018. He was born on June 11, 1925 to Luther and Hazel (Lane) McBee in Cowgill, MO. Bill grew up in the Kansas City area, spending many summers in Braymer , Mo with grandparents ,aunts, uncles and cousins. Bill married Dorothy Marie (Briggs) on April 20, 1943, and would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in 2018. Bill was a proud veteran of the US Army serving in World War II. Bill and Dorothy lived in Stilwell Ks for over 50 years, working in the sod business, first with his brothers-in-law, and later with his son Bill Jr.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; son Bill McBee Jr (Pat) of Stilwell, daughter Dawn McBee of Overland Park, daughter Lisa McBee of Olathe. Grandsons Brad McBee (Stephanie) of Stilwell, Brent McBee (Jill ) of Olathe. Great grandchildren: Eric (Kyla), Austin, Taylor, Kristin, Will and Catie. Brothers Larry (Laura) of Columbia, Mo and John (Darlene) of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

parents, Luther and Hazel McBee, brothers Leo, Randy, Tommy, Ted, and sisters Frances, Faye and Peggy.

The family will receive guests for a visitation from 11:00am - 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Penwell Gabel's Olathe Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm with burial at Aubry Cemetery in Stilwell, KS.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Crossroads Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Honor Flight Network of Kansas City, PO Box 46718, Kansas City, MO 64188.
