She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1965. She worked for the phone company for a couple of years, then worked at home for 7 years while her daughters were small. She then went on to work as a realtor for Coldwell Banker. Then she became an interior designer/decorator and co-teacher at Liberty Christian School in Olathe, Kansas. She was a manager for Weight Watchers Venture Capitalist for 2 years in Shawnee, Kansas. She then became Executive Secretary for Acosta Wholesale Foods for 10 years.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 42 years George and their daughters Anna Marie Cox and her husband Ken and their daughters Kourtney M. Cox, Brittany A. Cox and Tiffany J. Cox; Amy L. Oglesby and her son Alex; Jennifer Wilson and her husband Dave and their sons Lucas and Dylan; Susan Harper and her husband Shane and their daughter Tori; and son Michael Davis and wife Michelle.
She filled the lives of the people who knew her with joy and will be greatly missed.
