Elaine Marie Kaus, 83, of Overland Park, passed away on May 7,2018 having final victory over cancer. She was born on April 5,1935 to Richard and Marie (Brummel) Rozeboom in Denver, CO.

Elaine grew up in Colorado, attended Ackley high school, then went on to Central College in Pella, IA. She married the love of her life and soul mate, Paul Kaus, on June 20th, 1959. Elaine earned a post graduate Master's Degree in Special Education. For 40 years, her passion was teaching children with special needs; where she exhibited abundant patience and care for each one. She thrived in her role as a Mom- devoting countless hours in prayer over her two children. However, the absolute delight to her soul were her precious Grandsons. Elaine loved to read, attend Bible studies, host friends and spread love to everyone she met.

Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Paul; Sister-in-Law, Marjorie Jenkins; Son, Phil; Daughter, Pamela (Kaus) Kim; Son-In-Law, Joon W. Kim; Grandsons Joseph and Noah Kim.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Marie Rozeboom; Sister, Betty Buys; Brothers-in-Law; Roy Jenkins and Paul Buys.

The family will receive guests for a visitation from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, May 10,2018, at Penwell-Gabel's Olathe Chapel. The funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 11,2018, at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Overland Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions may be given to either Redeemer Presbyterian or to Heritage Christian Academy, 9333 W. 159th St. Overland Park, KS 66221.
