Doris was born February 9, 1922 in Clinton, MO to Edward (Pete) and Opal Jenkins. During high school, she was a hairdresser apprentice. After graduation, she moved to the Country Club Plaza where she began her career in hairstyling. While working on the Plaza, she met Kenneth Kovach. After Kenneth returned from the war, they were married on April 13, 1946, eventually moving to the Mission, KS area.
Doris, Kenneth, and their girls relocated to the Olathe, KS area in 1964, where she excelled as a mother and homemaker.
She truly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will all miss her dearly.
She is survived by her daughters Kathy( Kent) Livengood, Mary Lynn (Don) Perkins, grandchildren Matthew (Sean)Livengood-Clouse, Sarah Buhrmester, Adam ( Brooke) Livengood, Josh (Emily) Perkins, and Brad (Julie) Perkins, and great-grandchildren, Isabella and Brenden Livengood, Jacob Buhrmester, Kinley and Reed Perkins, and Ella Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 2011, and her sister Kathryn McDowell.
