Phoenix Eldon Guernsey was born June 12 at 5:56am at 18 weeks premature. He passed away the same day. He weighed 9.7 oz and was 10.5 inches long. Phoenix had a condition called anencephaly, which is 100% fatal to affected infants. He is survived by his parents, Alexis and Dennis Guernsey, his older siblings, Silas and Azalia, and a very large extended family who are heartbroken by the loss of this precious baby. Memorials may be given in his name to the Anencephaly Support Foundation.
