Dennis E. Cooper, 62, of Olathe, KS passed Mon. June 22, 2015. A visitation will be held at 10AM followed by a Celebration of His Life at 11AM Mon. June 29 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial.

Dennis was born Sept. 11, 1952 in Kansas City, Kansas to Thomas Cooper and Beverly Mathis. He was also raised by his stepmother Bonnie Cooper. Dennis graduated from Olathe High School in 1970. Dennis had a successful business in buying, selling, and trading used cars. In his spare time, he was an avid reader and truth seeker. He loved spending time with his kids, playing with and entertaining his granddaughter Celeste, and going out with his buddies. He had a passion for remote control cars and talk radio.

Dennis was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and his teachings. His mission in life was to spread the truth. He would never surrender a battle that would continue in his heart. Dennis opened hearts and minds alike with an undeniable magnetism. He captured the attention of all who crossed his path and left a memorable impression with everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his brother Keith Svendsen, his mother Beverly Mathis-Svendsen, and mother Bonnie Cooper.

He is survived by his children Tricia L. Satterfield (Russ) and Michael K. Cooper, father Tom Cooper, brother Michael Cooper, sister Cindy Hampton (Regis), granddaughter Celeste and step-granddaughter Tristyn, nephew Jeffery Cooper (Elizabeth), niece Brianna Cooper, and many other close friends and relatives.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dennis Cooper Memorial Fund c/o Enterprise Bank and Trust 11970 South Blackbob Road, Olathe, KS 66062.
