Robert Mark Schoonover was born in Kirksville, MO on June 27, 1969 to Robert LeRoy and Marilyn Jean Schoonover and passed away on July 15, 2015. He attended Macon High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree at Missouri Western University where he played golf. He then moved to Kansas City to work as an Insurance Agent for many years. It was here that he met and married Heather Lynn Devocelle for 16 years. Most importantly, Bob was a father to his three children: Molly Jean (19), Robert Francis (17), and Andrew John (15). He loved to hunt, to fish, to golf, to coach his children in sports, to play cards, and to spend time with his family. Bob was a man of faith who expressed his joy of the resurrection through his infectious smile. He is survived by his parents Robert LeRoy Schoonover and Marilyn Jean Schweitzer Schoonover, three children, ex-wife Heather, and siblings William (Bill) Schoonover (along with wife Mickey and children) and Mary Susan Abeln (along with husband Travis and children). May Bob rest in peace with Our Lord in happiness, love, and gratitude. He will be forever loved by many family members and friends.

A visitation will be 9:30-11AM Thurs. July 23rd at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe Chapel, where the Rosary will be said at 11AM directly followed by a memorial service.

Per request of the children, please make any donations to a church or charity of your choosing in loving memory of Bob.
