In Memory Of
Marie Trackwell
1921 - 2015
Marie married the love of her life Lloyd, on February 11, 1939, and set off on a journey of nearly 70 years. They raised four children; Lloyd R. (Judith) Trackwell, Dorothina (Ronald) Lape, Cindy (Terry) Merrill, and Sheree Trackwell. Her four grandchildren, Lloyd R. Jr., Judith, Melissa , and Troy (Patti) Lape; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Brooke Lape, are a testament to the standard she set. A more perfect example of a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother could not be asked for.
In 1966, Lloyd and Marie moved back to the Kansas City area, and started Lloyd’s Transport, Inc. They were successful and the business expanded. While living in Prairie Village, Kan., they built their dream house in Olathe, where they lived for nearly 40 years.
Marie was a member of College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe since 1969. Marie was preceded in death by Lloyd in 2009. He and many other relatives and friends were waiting to welcome her home.
While Marie will be dearly missed by those whose lives she touched and leaves behind, we do not wish her back. She was transformed in an instant into the healthy, happy, strong woman we all love and remember...transformed in an instant.
