He was married to Dora Mae Leader November 9, 1941. They were married 67 years prior to her death in 2008. They had 4 children Joyce (Wilcox), Janet (Cecil), Kathleen (Minter), Clayton Endecott, Jr. They raised 2 grandsons following their mothers death, Richard Cecil, Jr and Ramel Cecil.
Preceded in death by his parents, 5 siblings, wife Dora, daughter Janet Cecil, s-in-l Don Wilcox, granddaughter Vanessa Punzo, great grandson Wyatt Punzo.
Clayton became a licensed minister in 1947. He ministered in Kansas, Alabama, N. Dakota, S. Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois. He flew a Piper Cub propeller plane in 1950 for church ministry.
He leaves to grieve his children Joyce, Kathleen (Terry), Clayton Jr (Wanda), 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
