Kathrean Marie Kopek, 97 of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.



Kathrean Marie Kopek was born Kathrean Hlavacek on February 26th, 1919 on a small family farm near El Dorado Springs, MO. She moved to Kansas City, MO in 1940, and married John Harold Kopek on June 14, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rosie Hlavacek, her brother, Joseph Hlavacek, and her husband.



She is survived by her sisters, Anna Barker of Pleasant Hill, MO and Mildred Pullen of Idaho, and her cousins, the Wosaba's of El Dorado Springs, MO.



She is also survived by three sons and their families, John Michael and Wakako Kopek of Fayetteville, AR, Stephen Joseph and Patricia Lynn Kopek of Leawood, KS, and Raymond Phillip and Charlene Kopek of Kansas City, MO.



She leaves behind seven grandchildren and their families, Christopher Michael Kopek and Lindsey Byers, John Phillip Kopek and Lindsey Watkins, Joseph Daniel Kopek and Rachael Whitmer, Anthony Paul Kopek, Jonathan Joseph Kopek, Matthew Michael and Meghan Kopek, Tricia Marie Kopek and Nick Stowers, and one great grandson, Gabriel Joseph Kopek.



She enjoyed sewing, bowling, fishing, running, and word puzzles. She taught her children how to love others unconditionally. She will be greatly missed! She is now whole and healthy in Heaven and enjoying the company of those who preceded her!
