Judy was born Sept. 17, 1948 in Carthage, MO to Roscoe and Fernita Thomas. She graduated from Carthage High school in 1966, She attended Missouri Southern University and worked as a switchboard operator for SW Bell. She married Don Vanhooser in 1972. She moved to Olathe in 1987 and worked for Farmers Insurance until retirement.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her sons; Aaron Vanhooser (Mary) and Adam Vanhooser both of Olathe, KS. Her sister Cindy Smith (Randy) of Carterville, MO, and her grandchildren; Parker, Nathaniel and Taylor. Nephews; Chris, Shannon, Travis, and Cody Brown and 7 grand nieces and nephews and her beloved Phog dog.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Harvesters Community Food Network of Kansas City.
